How to Apply for Passport from Mobile in India
Friends, as technology is increasing, our work is becoming
even easier. If we talk about two or two and a half years from now, for mobile
recharge, whether to deposit electricity bill, whether to deposit money for a policy. Almost all these works were done offline.
But as technology continues to expand, we now do all the
work through our computer and mobile. Now take the passport itself, first we
had to go to a shop to get a passport or fill the form on our computer online.
But now the Ministry has launched a feature in its mPassport
Seva mobile application itself, with the help of which we can apply for our
passport from our mobile. If you do not want to fill the online form in a cybercafe or on your computer
But if you have a smartphone, you can apply to get your
passport from your mobile, so in today's article, we are going to tell you the entire process that you need to apply from your mobile to get your passport
Which steps are to be followed.
To apply for a passport from your mobile, you have to follow
the following steps
You have to: - First of all, you have to install an
application in your mobile.
To install the
application, you have to go to your mobile's Play Store.
After going to the Play Store, you have to type Mpassport in
the search bar above.
Install this
application on your mobile.
✔ After the Mpassport application is installed, you have to
open it.
After opening the Mpassport Application, you get some such
interface. As you can see in
Step-1.
If you want to apply for a passport through your mobile, then
after installing and opening this application, you have to first click on the
2nd Option New User Register.
Step 2. After clicking on it, some such form comes out in front of
you. Here you first have to register inside
this application.
✔ In the first option here, you have to choose the passport
office, which passport office you want to go to to get your passport.
After
choosing your passport office, we have to enter your name and Sir Name here.
✔ After that, you have to choose your Date of Birth. You can
easily choose your date of birth by clicking on the calendar icon.
✔ After this, you have to enter your email ID, after
entering the email ID, you get an option here and whether you want to make your
email ID as login ID or not? So I would suggest you click Yes here. This
will make it very easy for you to login inside this application anytime in
future.
✔ After that, you have to create a password according to
your wish here and after that you have to enter the same password under Confirm
Password.
After
entering the password, you have to choose one of the questions given here and
answer it.
✔ After this, you have to enter the captcha code at the
bottom and click submit.
After clicking submit, a message appears in front of you. In which it is written that a message has been sent to
your email ID, after clicking on that message, you have to activate your
account.
Step-3: Now you have to go inside your email and after
clicking on the mail you get in the name of Passport.Admin you have to click on
the link inside that mail.
Step-4: After clicking on that link, some such interface
comes out in front of you, here you get an option to enter your email ID, after
entering your email ID here, you have to click on Submit.
Step-5: After clicking on Submit, a message comes out in
front of you which reads, "Your account has been activated
successfully."
Step-6: Now after coming out from here, again you have to go
inside the application of Mpassport and after going to the main menu, click on
Existing User Login.
Step-7: Here you have to click on Continue after
entering your Email ID. Keep in mind that you have to enter the same email ID
here that you had just registered.
After clicking Continue, you get the option to enter
password, here you enter your password and after that enter the captcha code
below and click on Login.
Step-8: After clicking on login, here you get to see
three types of options: -
Apply for Fresh Passport / Re-issue of Passport
Apply for police clearance certificate
✔View saved/submitted applications
If you want to build a Fresh Passport or you already have a
passport and you want to renew it, then you have to first click on Option
"Apply for Fresh Passport / Re-issue of Passport".
Step-9: After this, Option comes in front of you to choose
your state and district, here you have to select your state and district
correctly. After this, some such interface comes in front of you.
Step-10. After this, you have to select herein "Applying
for" what kind of passport you are applying for, if you are applying for
Fresh Passport, then you have to select the option with Fresh Passport.
After this, in “Type of Application” you get two
options: First Normal and Second Tatkaal. If you have to go to Out of Country
within a few days, then you can select the Tatkaal option here. And if you do
not need to go anywhere now, then you select Normal here. After this, inside
the Type of Booklet, you also get to see two options: -
First 36 pages and second 60 pages, according to how many
pages you want to get a passport, you have to select the option here. By the
way, in a passport with 36 pages or 60 pages, there is not much difference
other than the number of pages. So after choosing the option according to your
choice, click on Next.
After clicking on Next, some such page comes out in front of you. Here you have to enter your personal
information, like first you have to enter your name and after that, you have to
enter your head name.
In the latter option, you are asked whether you are known by
any other name or not? If you also have another name, you have to click Yes and
enter your second name. If you do not have any other name, then you click on
No.
After this, you are asked whether you have ever changed your
name or not? If you have ever changed your name, you have to enter your first
name hereafter clicking Yes. If you have never changed your name, all you have
to do is click on NO.
After this, you have to enter your date of birth, you can
easily choose your date of birth by clicking on the calendar icon. After this, you are asked whether you were born in a different country outside India or
not. One has to choose one according to his choice. After this, you have to
choose your state and tehsil.
Step-11: After this, you have to choose your Gender. After
this, you have to choose your Marital Status here, if you choose Single, then
you do not have to give any certificate whereas if you are Married, you need a
Marriage Certificate. After that, you have to tell about your citizenship that
since when you are living in India, then you should do birth by here.
After this, if you have a PAN card, then you get an option
to insert PAN card here and below this, you can enter your Voter ID card number
here, if you do not have it, you can also leave it blank.
After this, you have to choose your Employment Type whether
you work in Private Sector or in Government Sector or you have a Business or
you are Students etc.
Here you have to choose your education qualification. You
can choose the option according to your Education Qualification. After this, you
are asked whether the applicant falls within the NON-ECR category or not? If
you have more than 10th class documents, then you will select No here or else
you select Yes.
After this, if you have any special mark on your body, then
it is asked about it. If you want, you can leave it empty.
Step-12: After this, if you have an Aadhaar number, then you
get an option to enter your Aadhaar number. If you want it too, you can leave
it empty.
After this, some “Terms & Conditions” are written at the
bottom and there are two options Yes and No, next to “I agree” below, here you
have to click on Next after clicking Yes.
After clicking on Next, some such information page comes out
in front of you, as you can see in
Step-13. Here you have to enter your family information such
as
Name of your father.
Name of your mother.
Name of your Guardians.
After putting all this information about your family
correctly, you have to click on Next.
After clicking on Next, some such form comes out in front of
you as you can see in
Step-14. Here first you are asked if your current address is
not outside India, if your current address is outside India, then you will
Click Yes and if it is in India, then after clicking on No, your full address
Insert it correctly.
You have to enter your mobile number and email ID along with
the PIN code in your address. And in the end you are asked whether any
permanent address is also available, i.e. apart from the address you have given
above, do you also have any Permanent Address?
If the address you have given above is your Permanent
Address, then you click on No or else after clicking Yes, fill your Permanent
Address correctly.
After clicking, after clicking again on the 3 Dots above
your Submit application, click on "Pay & Schedule Appointment".
Now here you will get the option of Appointment Date and Time to go to that
Passport Office in which Passport Office you want to take an Appointment.
Here, the date on which the appointment is available at the
Passport Office is available. If you want, you can also schedule your
Appointment according to yourself. After making the Appointment Date and Time
Fix, you have to go to the Passport Office on the same date.
Step-15: After this, you have to click on Next. On clicking,
a notification comes in front of you in the form of a popup, in which it is
written that you cannot change the information you have given till now, so you
have checked all the information carefully once again.
Step-16: On clicking OK, some such page comes out in front
of you, where you will get an Emergency Contact No. Here you have to provide
with his address, here you can contact any of your family members or any of
your friends. And you can enter the address, after doing all this information
correctly, you have to click on Next.
Step-17: After this, you come out of such an option. Here you have to give some information, in the first option
you have to click on No because it is for Tibetan.
In the second option, you have to give information about the
official passport, because right now you are applying for your fresh passport,
if you do not have a passport, then you also have to select the 2nd option in
which it is written. "Details Not Available".
In the third option, you are asked if you have ever applied
for a passport before but have not received it. So even here you have to select
No. And after that you have to click on Next.
Step-18: After clicking on Next, you have to give some more
information herein which you are asked about your criminal background, then
after selecting "Inside" all the options here, click on Next.
Step-19: After entering all these details, after clicking on
Next, a preview of your passport appears in front of you, that your passport
will look something like this after it is created. All similar information will
be available on your passport.
How long does it take to get a passport for the first time?
After carefully watching all the information shown inside
Passport Preview, if you feel that all the information is correct, then you
Click on Next.
What Documents are required for applying a passport in
India: -
Documents required for passport?
After clicking Next, you are asked to select Documents, here
in all, you select your Aadhaar card because if you select different documents,
verification takes much more time.
After this you are asked if you want to take Passport SMS
service, if you want to take Passport SMS service then click Yes. I would
suggest that you should take this SMS service as it keeps you going to know
what is the status of your passport?
For this SMS service, you have to pay ₹ 50 which
you have to pay inside the Passport office. After this, you have to enter the
mobile number on which you want to get this Passport SMS service. After that, you have to enter Place. Here the date comes automatically.
Now you have to click on Save Details so that all the
information you have entered so far is saved. Now you have to select the
"I Agree" column and click on the submit form.
For your information, let me tell you that once you click on
the Submit Form, then after that you will not be able to make any changes here.
So you can click on Preview Form once again and check how your form is. After
watching the preview, if you feel that all your information is correct, then
you click on the Submit Form.
On clicking on the Submit Form, it comes in front of you by
writing that "Your Application form has been submitted successfully"
/ "Your form has been successfully received" Here you do not have to
do much, just click OK.
How to make payment for Passport Fees? How to pay fees for
passport?
After clicking OK, 3 types of options come out in front of
you as you can see in Step-21. Here at the bottom you have to click on
"View Saved / Submitted Application".
Step-20: After clicking, all the application forms you have
saved so far and all the application forms you have submitted, you can see here
as we have submitted only one application, so here Only one application form is
visible to us here Let's click on Three Dots in the top right. Here you get to
see three types of options.
First to make payment and Appointment Schedule
Second to check Application Details and
third to track Payment Details
First of all, you have to click on the option "Pay
& Schedule Appointment" here. On clicking, two types of options come
out to pay you.
✔ 1st - You can pay online now through internet banking,
credit card or debit card.
✔ 2nd - If you do not want to pay online, then you can pay
by going to any branch of SBI Bank, for which you have to generate a Challan
here and deposit that Challan in the bank with payment. Here we are going to
give you information about how to create an invoice for depositing money in SBI
Bank.
Step-21: To go to SBI Bank and make a payment, you have to
Click on the other option "Challan Payment".
Step-22: After clicking on the challan payment, the details
of your form comes out in front of you, such as your name, your application
number, how much payment you have to make to get your passport, etc. After that, you have to click on Generate Challan.
Step-23: As soon as you click on Generate Challan, a
notification comes in the form of a pop-up that once Challan is generated, you
cannot again pay for your passport in any other mode. Here you have to click on
Yes.
Step-24: On clicking this, Challan is saved as a PDF file in
the downloaded folder.
Step-25: That some such driving format is
saved as a PDF file on your mobile.
Now what you have to do is to take a print out of the Chalan
which has been downloaded as a PDF file and submit it with payment to any
branch of SBI Bank. Some such drive is saved as a PDF file as you can see in Step-30.
After making full payment with Challan in any branch of SBI
Bank, you have to login again after going inside the Mpassport application. And
then click on "View Saved / Submitted Application".
